Welcome to the Art of Teddy Kell

I had a wonderful time at "A Gathering of Images"; the March, 2008 exhibit of my work at The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. The exhibit included recent digital prints which have not appeared on this website or been shown before, as well as many old favorites of mine. If you missed all the happenings and the show itself, here's a collage of scenes from the show:

I'm grateful to the Center for the Arts for the beautiful, large gallery space, which allowed me to show more works at one time than ever before. Sue Barry, who managed the show, and my daughter, Meg Hughes, who managed me; and the Men of the Family who did the whole reception all have my grateful thanks. It was a real treat to meet new people, greet old friends, and talk shop with so many of my favorite local and Sacramento artists who came and stayed.

This exhibit also included the first local public showing of prints from my part of The Millennium Book. Here is the article from The Union Newspaper, April 1, 2003, which does an excellent job of explaining this complicated and wonderful project.

I was also able for the first time to make available (by appointment) my copy of The Millennium Book. The exhibit was the occasion for the introduction of my new limited edition artist's book, "But Earth Abides", which is a fabric bound collection of thirteen art prints plus text pages from my portion of the Millennium Book. A limited number of signed, copies of "But Earth Abides" are available for $290.

Both books, as well as giclee prints of most of my work are available to be viewed at my studio by appointment.
